Assignment #1 on Basic Biomolecules and Cell Structure and Function
was due to Blake or in Blake's box in EBS 212 (the Biology Office) no later than 5 pm on Thursday, February 2. Complete this assignment and turn it in late if you have not already.
2. You should regularly review your lecture notes in preparation for a potential upcoming pop quiz in lecture. This quiz will be on basic concepts of physiology as covered in lecture.
3. The Biomed 136 Tutors are:

Blake will have a review session for Exam #1 on Wednesday, February 15 from 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm in EBS 209.
4. You should be reviewing the lecture notes indicated under Lecture Notes above for the first exam which will be on Thursday, February 16.
5. Over the next few weeks, you should be reading the following chapters in the texts as per the syllabus for the first exam: Note that depending on the edition of the text you have the page numbers and chapters may be slightly different. Most of these you will probably figure out based on the topic but please let me know if you have any questions.

1. There is a seminar presentation Friday, February 10 from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm
in EBS 309 for the Biology 291 Seminar. All are welcome to attend, you need not be enrolled in the Bio 291 class. The seminar will be by Peter Aguilar from SBCC's own Department of Biological Sciences on Kinesiology.
2. Internships in Nanosystems Science, Engineering and Technology (INSET)

3. Financial Aid Office Campus Scholarship Applications are due by early March. You must submit this application online to the Financial Aid Office by the deadline to be considered for ALL Biological Sciences Departmental Scholarships (except for the Olivarius Scholarship).
